Pastor Antwaun Richardson is a native of Darlington, South Carolina. He was formally educated in the Darlington County School District, culminating his years of formative study with a High School diploma from Lamar High School. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministry from Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina; graduating with Honors. Upon completion of his baccalaureate studies, he enrolled into Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey; graduating in May 2017 with a Master of Divinity. Rev. Richardson is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio with an anticipated graduation date of May 2026.

Because of high scholastic achievements, he has received multiple awards and citations from various institutions across the width and breadth of this nation. He is a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated—currently serving as Chaplain in the Lambda Rho Chapter in Waterbury, CT. He was licensed into the Gospel Ministry, at the very tender age of 21, by the Reverend Dr. E.B. Burroughs at the Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Darlington, South Carolina in 2010. Rev. Richardson received rites of ordination at the St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church in Lawton, Oklahoma in 2016 under the leadership of Dr. J. Weldon Gilbert.

Throughout his ministry he has served as a Supply Pastor for the Cadwalader-Asbury Church in Trenton, New Jersey; as Pastoral Intern at the St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church in Lawton, Oklahoma; as Youth Minister at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist of Darlington, South Carolina; Assistant Pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church in Hartford, CT; and as Interim Pastor at Zion Baptist Church in Waterbury, CT. In October of 2020, he was called as pastor of the great Zion Baptist Church; ending his role as Interim Pastor and officially becoming the 6th and youngest pastor in Zion’s 102-year history. In addition to his pastoral role at Zion, Pastor Richardson serves as the C.M. Cofield/T.E. Holmes Lecturer for the Connecticut State Missionary Baptist Convention.

Pastor Richardson’s deepest prayer is that his preaching not only effects change in the lives of people, but will also affect the world in which people live.
